Frequently Asked Questions

Sizing and fit

How do your garments fit?
Our shirts and camp collars are cut for a relaxed tropical fit — room through the chest and armhole, a straight hem, nothing clinging. Trousers and shorts sit on the natural waist with a tailored flat-front waistband; there is no elastic in the waistband. If you are between sizes, take the smaller size in linen (it relaxes with wear) and the larger in silk.
Where can I find measurements?
Every product page links to the size guide, which lists flat measurements in centimetres and inches for each size, garment by garment. Measurements are of the garment, not the body.
What if the size is wrong?
Unworn pieces can be exchanged or returned — EU and UK buyers keep the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, and the full window will be published before ordering opens. Write to us before sending anything back and we will confirm the size that fits.

Materials and care

What are the pieces made from?
Natural materials only: Vietnamese Bảo Lộc silk, Moravian indigo-dyed linen and cotton, handloom linen, Balinese brass, silver and teak, and Aegean stone. Each product page names the material, its origin and its weight.
How should I care for linen and silk?
Cold hand wash or a gentle machine cycle for linen and cotton, dried flat in shade. Silk should be washed by hand in cool water with a pH-neutral soap, or dry cleaned. Never tumble dry, and press linen while slightly damp. Full instructions are on the care guide and on each product page.
Will indigo-dyed pieces fade or transfer colour?
Yes, and that is the material behaving as it should. Traditional Moravian modrotisk indigo softens with each wash and settles into the cloth. Wash indigo pieces separately for the first few washes.

Where and by whom it is made

Where are the pieces made?
Cutting and finishing take place in Indonesia. The materials come from the regions named on each product page — Bảo Lộc in Vietnam for silk, Moravia in the Czech Republic for indigo printing, and metalwork from Bali in brass and silver.
How large are the production runs?
Small. Where a run is limited, the product page states the run size for that piece.

Shipping, duties and returns

Where do you ship and how long does it take?
We ship worldwide from Indonesia. Ordering is not open yet; dispatch and delivery times will be published here before it opens.
What does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated by destination and order weight. The rate table will be published here before ordering opens; there is no free-shipping threshold at present.
Will I pay import duties or taxes?
Orders shipped outside Indonesia may attract import duties, VAT or handling fees set by your country. These are not included in the price you pay us. We declare goods at their full value and cannot mark parcels as gifts.
How do returns work?
Write to us before sending anything back. Pieces must be unworn, unwashed and in their original packaging with tags attached. Return shipping is paid by you unless the piece arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect, in which case we cover it. Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the piece has been received and inspected.

Reaching a person

How do I speak to someone?
Use the contact form. It reaches a person, and we reply to the address you give.
Can I ask about a piece before buying?
Please do. Tell us your measurements and the climate you are dressing for, and we will tell you honestly whether a piece suits you — including when it does not.
